Frank
Walter Hurr - Gents Hairdresser. Some evenings, Frank's son, Brian, works as a part-time projectionist at the Southwold Cinema in York Road. Perhaps this connection explains why one of Frank's ex-customers remembers that his waiting chairs looked like old plush cinema seats. (LM)
Frank also drives
the Southwold Red Cross Ambulance and, thogether with his cousin, William Eastaugh (formerly of No 64 High Street), has a remarkable escape
during the 1953 floods. To read an account of this click here. (LM).
